Robert Lee Baker, age 49, resident of Haskell went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Robert was born on February 6, 1970 in Lockney, TX to Donald Lee and Novadell (Owens) Baker. He graduated high school in Lubbock, TX and then received his CLEET certification. Robert worked as a peace officer in Lubbock County, Hale County and Limestone County, TX. In 2010, he moved to Haskell from Groesbeck, TX. Robert was a member of the First Baptist Church in Haskell. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, metal detecting, arrowhead hunting, guns, spending time with his children and serving the Lord. Robert is survived by his mother, Novadell Baker of Laverne, OK; his son, Justin Baker of the home in Haskell, OK; his daughter, Megan Baker of Cainesville, MO; his sister, Melody Culp and husband Jim of Laverne, OK; his brothers, David Baker and wife Denise of Maricopa, AZ and Steve Baker of Safford, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lee Baker. A viewing for Robert will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Robert's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Haskell, OK with Pastor Gary McKeen officiating. Burial will follow in Lawson Cemetery in Yale, OK. Pallbearers are Darin Clements, John "Smurf" Murphy, Billy Freeman, Damon Clements, Andy Hanrieder, Monty Hobbs, Frank Beene, Jr., Rick Vasquez and Dean Zwirtz.
