August 4, 2011 Robert James Anderson, 87, entered eternal life September 16, 2009 at his home in Broken Arrow. He was born July 14, 1922 in Willmar, MN to Arthur and Clara (Brekke)
Anderson. Robert came to Tulsa after World War II for his pilot training at Spartan School of Aeronautics. He met Marjorie May (Morrow) in Tulsa in 1944 and they were married in Waco, TX where he was stationed on November 11, 1944. He later went to Valdosta, GA for further training and patrolled the Gulfs of Georgia and Florida in a B-26 Marauder Bomber plane, the famous "Widow Maker." The war ended before he was sent overseas. Bob was an avid golfer who enjoyed crossword puzzles. He was employed with the Easley Plumbing Company and worked in the industry for over 40 years in the Tulsa area. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie May Anderson and is survived by his daughters: Robin Robbins and her husband Toney of Broken Arrow, Anita Franklin of Eureka Springs, AR; son James Robert Anderson of Tulsa; brother Merle Anderson of Mankato, MN; and numerous other family and friends. Visitation: Noon-7PM Sunday, September 20; service: 2PM Monday, September 21, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Rolling Hills with Pastor Ernie Gill officiating; interment: Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs.
