Robbie Jo Carpenter

January 11, 2013 Robbie Jo Carpenter, longtime resident of Tulsa, passed from this life on January 7,2013 at the age of 83 years. Robbie was born on January 28,1929 in Barnsdall, OK the first child of John and Margie (Clapp) Clements. On June 17,1945, she married Warren Ross Carpenter; she was a homemaker and worked for many years in the retail fashion industry. She loved to play cards, word puzzles, needlepoint work and sports, basketball in particular; she was also an avid reader and a wonderful cook. She was an amazing Mama, Nanny and Granny, we will miss her terribly. Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margie Clements; her brother, John C. Clements; and her loving husband, Warren Ross Carpenter. She is survived by her daughter, Vicky Tanner of Dallas, TX; daughter Lana Roberts and son-in-law Lyn of Spavinaw, OK; son, Scott Carpenter and daughter-in-law Kathy, of Oologah, OK. Grandchildren, Heather Alonzo of Houston, TX; Sara Carpenter of Tulsa, OK; twins Kyle and Chelsea Carpenter of Oologah, OK and John Tanner, of Dallas, TX; Great-grandchildren Ava Alonzo and Aidan Alonzo, of Houston; and sister Faye Farris of Texarkana, TX. and numerous other family members and friends. A Celebration of Robbie's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Kennedy-Kennard Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK. www.kennedycares.com
