Richard L. 'Rick' Thomas

Richard L. "Rick" Thomas, resident of Haskell, OK, passed away on Wednesday morning, Nov. 26, 2014 in Muskogee, OK at the age of 57 years. He was born on Aug. 14, 1957 to Sammie Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Bottoms) Thomas. Rick was a graduate of Byng High School near Ada, OK. He and Patricia "Pat" Davis were married on Mar. 28, 1977 in Grayson County, TX. Rick worked at Davis H. Elliot Co. as a Safety Director for the past 12 years. He enjoyed camping, racing and music. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Sammie Lee Thomas and 1 sister, Brenda Thomas. Rick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pat Thomas of Haskell, OK; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Thomas of Ada, OK; 1 son, Rodney Thomas and partner, John Williams, of Tulsa, OK; 1 daughter, Mandy Kettle of Haskell, OK; 1 sister, Robin Abbott and husband, Vince of Ada, OK; 1 brother, Russell Thomas of Ada, OK; 3 grandchildren, Bryce Kettle, Marissa Pope and Averi Thomas; 3 honorary daughters, Tracie Crow of Haskell, OK, Rachel Hunter and husband, Jimmy, of Ft. Gibson, OK and Leann Workman and husband, Roger, of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 honorary brother, Mike Curlee of Haskell, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 9 am - 8 pm on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating the life of Rick will be at 1 pm on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Pastor James Stone, Jr. officiating.
