Richard Mitchell

Richard "Rick" Mitchell, age 51, of Coweta passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born on March 19, 1960 in Tulsa, OK and was the son of Barney and Mary Lou (Hershey) Mitchell. Rick was a 1978 graduate of East Central High School. He worked for ADT Security as a salesman for the past five years. Rick also worked as a painter for Boeing Aircraft for 23 years. He and Karla Keffer were married in February of 1998 in Eureka Springs, AR. Rick enjoyed golfing, hunting, watching UFC fights and watching all sports, especially football. Rick is survived by his wife, Karla Mitchell of the home; his three children, Ricky Mitchell Jr. and his wife, Cassie, of Sapulpa, OK, Kourtney Fierro and her husband, Jake, of Coweta, OK and Kassidy Mitchell of the home; his mother, Mary Lou Mitchell of Sand Springs, OK; his sister, Cindy Ramos of Sand Springs, OK; his brother, Joe Mitchell; three grandchildren, Alyssa Mitchell, Trace Mitchell and one on the way, Ruger Fierro; two nephews, one niece and other relatives. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Barney Mitchell. A graveside service for Rick will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK with Pastor Ernie Martin officiating.
