Richard Anthony Eberle, known affectionately as Rick to his friends and family, passed away at his home in Collinsville, OK, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on February 15, 1958, in Tulsa, OK to Ida June (Mitchell) and Glenn Curtis Eberle, Jr.

Rick was a proud graduate of McClain High School's class of 1975. He furthered his education at Will Rogers State University in Claremore, OK, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. His commitment to public service was evident through his 21-year tenure with the Tulsa Police Department. In 1990, Rick began his career as a patrol officer and then an auto theft detective before retiring in 2011. He worked alongside his partners, Jim Whiteshirt and Darrice Carr, with whom he formed lasting bonds.

Outside of his professional life, Rick was an avid enthusiast of shooting and gunsmithing. He also found joy in working on vehicles and hot rods, a hobby that reflected his meticulous nature and creative spirit. However, Rick's greatest delight was in the time he spent with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness.

Preceding Rick in death were his mother and step-father, June and Bud Neuman, and his paternal grandparents, Glenn Curtis Eberle, Sr. and Mamie Josephine Eberle, affectionately known as "Nannie & Papaw."
