Regina "Gina" Lynn (Hudson) Hood

Regina Lynn (Hudson) Hood, known affectionately as Gina to her friends and family, passed away at her home in Porter, OK, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the age of 56 years. She was born on November 29, 1967, in Tulsa, OK to Richard Edward and Wilma Jean (Skelton) Hudson. Gina's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and joy that touched everyone she knew.

Gina was a proud graduate of Will Rogers High School, class of 1986. Her professional life was marked by a successful career as a gaming manager for Cherokee Nation Casinos, a role she held for nine years and through which she became a well-respected figure.

Gina's passions were as vibrant as her personality. She found solace and delight in the tranquility of her garden. Her love for her dogs was unparalleled, and they were her constant and loving companions. However, it was her role as "Gigi" to her grandchildren that brought her the most joy. She reveled in spoiling them and cherished every moment spent in their company.

She is survived by her companion, Bryan Trent, of Porter, OK; her sons, Garrett Hood and Eric Hood, both of Porter, OK; her stepchildren, Tara Dicks and Bryan Trent, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jameson Hood, Brylee Campbell, Maggie Dicks, Sophie Trent, Woodrow Trent, and Callum Trent; her sisters, Michelle Brashar and husband Danny of Owasso, OK, and Chastity Thetford and husband Thad of Collinsville, OK; and her nephews, Wyatt Thetford, Will Thetford, and Nick Brashar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Edward and Wilma Jean Hudson, and her grandparents, Noah and Ethel Skelton and Lloyd and Ruth Hudson.

Gina's warmth, her infectious laugh, and her unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit, a beacon of light in the lives of many, will continue to shine brightly through the memories she leaves behind.

A graveside service to celebrate Gina's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Dick Duck Cemetery in Catoosa, OK.
