Regina Elizabeth Sorrell

Broken Arrow

Regina Elizabeth Sorrell, age 74, resident of Broken Arrow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday evening, September 15, 2020 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Regina was born on July 30, 1946 and was the daughter of Sherrill V. and Elma Dee (Vinson) Gilmore.

Regina was a 1964 graduate of Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.  She married the love of her life, Walter Ray Sorrell on January 8, 1965 and they were blessed with three children, Nancy, Kathy, and Jerry.  Regina was a devoted housewife who loved caring for her family.  She worked alongside her husband with their company they owned, S&H Heating & Air Conditioning.  Regina was a devout Christian, and she loved spending time reading her Bible.  She and Walter are charter members of Whispering Hills Church of Christ in Broken Arrow.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, camping, cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Regina is survived by her husband of 55 years, Walter Ray Sorrell of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her daughter, Nancy Falcon and husband Ron of Moore, Oklahoma; her son, Jerry Sorrell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Shirley Maxson and husband Carl of Eldorado, Kansas and Susan Stoner and husband Larry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one brother, Buddy Gilmore and wife Julie of Anderson, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Zack Falcon, Rachel Falcon, Jake Falcon, Joe Falcon, Tayla Norris, Taylor Sorrell, Raleigh Sorrell, Jonna Sorrell, and Quinn Sorrell; one great granddaughter, Nebula Lord; one great granddaughter on the way, Pepper Norris; three honorary grandchildren, Robert Leitz, Tiffany Dye, and Sampson Leitz; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Sherrill V. and Elma Dee Gilmore and her daughter, Kathy Jo Sorrell.

Viewing will be from 12:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta with the family present to receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  Services celebrating Regina’s life will be a 11:00 AM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Whispering Hills Church of Christ in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Dale Graham officiating.  Regina will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
