Raymond Taylor

Raymond D. Taylor of Porter, Oklahoma, age 68, passed from this life on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at St. Francis Select Care Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Raymond was born on August 6, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Millard A. and Opal (Hughes) Taylor. He received his education in the Coweta school system and graduated from Coweta High School in 1957. He was in the United States Navy. Raymond and Carolyn Yount were married on July 23, 1971 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Raymond worked as a computer technician for I.B.M. for 31 years until his retirement. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. His hobbies included golfing, baseball, and repairing golf carts. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of the home; one son, Bradley Taylor of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; two daughters, Stacey Edmiston of Haskell, Oklahoma and Raelynn Oliver of Moore, Oklahoma; one sister, Donna (Taylor) Wood of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev.
