Ralph Lowell Davis, age 87, resident of Coweta, OK, passed away peacefully at his home in Coweta, OK, on Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was born on July 20, 1936, in Letcher County, Gordon, KY and was the son of Jefferson John Davis Sr. and Nancy Belle (Coots) Davis. Ralph's journey through life was marked by dedication, service, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

Ralph's life was one of unwavering commitment to his country and his loved ones. After a distinguished 21-year career in the United States Air Force, where he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1975, he continued his service to the nation at the Bank of America in the Homeland Security Department, retiring in 2006. His work ethic and leadership were an inspiration to all who knew him.

On April 14, 1962, Ralph married the love of his life, Janice Faye Gillette, in Lee's Summit, MO. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and the blessings of a large and loving family. Ralph is survived by his devoted wife, Janice Davis, of the home; his children, Ralph Avery Davis and his wife Gwen of Beaver Dam, KY, Lydia I. Davis of Beaver Dam, KY, Edward L. Davis and his wife Sandra of Coweta, OK, and Susan L. Davis of Coweta, OK. His legacy continues through his 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values and memories he instilled in them.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson John Davis Sr. and Nancy Belle Davis, his sisters, Margaret L. (Davis) Williams and Shirley (Davis) Donahue, and his brothers, Jefferson John Davis Jr., James E. Davis, and Alvin Davis.

Beyond his professional and family life, Ralph had a passion for coin collecting and playing war video games. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had a particular talent for making everyone around him feel special. His care for his wife, Janice, was a testament to his loving and compassionate nature.

Ralph's life was a beacon of integrity, honor, and kindness. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and memories shared by those who knew him.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones for visitation with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. A graveside service to honor and celebrate Ralph's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery in Lee's Summit, MO, where he will receive full military honors in recognition of his service to our nation.
