Preston "Bean" Younger

Preston “Bean” Younger was born on March 17, 1965 to Katherine Carter and Lloyd Owens Younger, Sr. in Boynton, Oklahoma.

Preston was raised in Boynton, Oklahoma and received his formal education from Boynton Public Schools. After graduating, he stayed in Boynton, Oklahoma for several more years and had daughters Tempestt Younger and Whitney Thompson and son Marlon Younger, he then later moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and married Karen (Manns) Younger and with this union they had three children, Mariah Manns, Shandell Manns, and Raven Manns and he gained two sons, Jeremie Manns and Stetmon Manns.

Preston found his gainful employment at TAT Limco for many years until he retired in 2022.

Preston accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Boynton, Oklahoma. Where he also returned to service later in life as an adult. On the day of July 28, 2023, the Lord called him home. He drifted into eternity to receive eternal rest from his labor. He was welcomed into the Heavenly Gates by his father, Lloyd Owens Younger, Sr., his mother, Katherine (Carter) Younger, his sister, Patsy Younger, his brother, Lloyd Younger Sr., and his stepson, Stetmon Manns.

Preston leaves to cherish his precious memory, his seven children, Tempestt Younger of Arlington, Texas, Whitney Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Marlon Younger of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jeremie Manns of Miami, Oklahoma, Mariah Manns of Coweta, Oklahoma, Shandell Manns of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Raven Manns of Tulsa, Oklahoma; twenty-one grandchildren; his three sisters, Cathy Younger-Gaines of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sheila Younger-Antwine (Jewel) of Boynton, Oklahoma, and Mary Carter of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his two brothers, Bobby Younger, Sr. of Boynton, Oklahoma, and Jamie Younger of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. Preston will be laid to rest at Lee Cemetery in Boynton, Oklahoma.
