Phillip 'Joe' Smith

Phillip "Joe" Smith, II, resident of Broken Arrow, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 29, 2014 at a hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 44 years. He was born on Dec. 18, 1969 to Phillip Smith and Darlene (Adney) Foltz in Tulsa, OK. Joe was a Carpenter for most of his life. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, gardening, being outdoors and he loved spending time with his family. Joe is survived by his father and step-mother, Phillip and Gayla Smith of Coweta, OK; his mother and step-father, Darlene and Jim Foltz of Muskogee, OK; his companion, Lisa Cornelius of Broken Arrow, OK; 3 children, Aaron Hefley of Coweta, OK, Katlyn Smith of Broken Arrow, OK and Madalyn Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; 2 sisters, Sheli Woodward of Coweta, OK and Dana Hillard of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 brother, Zach Smith of Coweta, OK; 1 grandson, Tristen Hefley of Coweta, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 2-6 PM on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating the life of Joe will be at 2:30 PM on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at the Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Aaron Hefley, Michael Brown, Rob Adney, Mitchell Potter, Tony Smith and Bryan Drinko.
