Pete Crowe, longtime resident of Coweta, age 79, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday morning, July 5, 2012 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Pete was born on April 5, 1933 in Boynton, OK and was the son of Bruce Edward and Lillie May (Carpenter) Crowe. Pete was raised in Boynton, OK where he also received his education. Pete was united in marriage to Ms. Pauline Foutch on August 25, 1953 in Muskogee, OK. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War from 1953-1955. Since 1979, he owned and operated Pete Crowe Welding & Salvage until he retired in 2010. Pete had also previously worked at Industrial Fabricating in Tulsa for 19 years. Pete was a longtime and faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta. Pete enjoyed building classic cars, traveling, playing his guitar, going to classic car shows and swap meets, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Pete is lovingly survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Pauline Crowe of the home; his two daughters, Debbie Greeson and husband, Jim, of Coweta and Janice Clocker and husband, Barry, of Coweta; his son, Don Crowe and wife, Kelly, of Coweta; his sister, Helen Cunningham of Muskogee; three grandchildren, Anthony Greeson, Josh Steele and Jeni Turner; five great grandchildren, Lillie Greeson, James Steele, Jodi Steele, Trae Turner and Drake Turner; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services for Pete are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating and Pastor Randy Wisdom assisting. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Haskell Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jim Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Lynn Crowe, Don Crow, Bobby Crow, Don Hill, Mitchell Cope and Eddie Cope. Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Mills, Ron Todd, Ernie Joyce, Doc Buckner, Charlie Stafford, Johnnie Beller, Maurice Atkins, Bill Hamilton, Ruben Dykes, Bill Trower, Jack Chartier, Jerry Jamison, Ulysses Turnbow, Herman Newman and Joel Hutchison.
