Pauline Schauffler

Pauline Schauffler, long-time resident of Coweta, age 91, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and aunt, passed away peacefully, Monday morning, June 17, 2013 at Heart of the Ozarks Health Center in Ava, MO. Pauline was born on August 20, 1921 in Coweta, OK and was the daughter of Otha A. and Sylvia M. (Hirn) Houser. Pauline was a 1938 graduate of Coweta High School. She and Belvin Schauffler were united in marriage on August 23, 1941 in Coweta, OK and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2005. Pauline was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Shahan Freewill Baptist Church in Coweta and Faith Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. Pauline enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Bryan and husband, Don, of Ava, MO; 1 brother, Jack Houser of Tulsa, OK; 3 sisters, Louise Gibson and husband, Jay, of Tulsa, OK, Anna Belle Harris and husband, Dewayne, of Perry, OK and Josephine Rouich of Kansas City, KS; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Belvin Schauffler, her parents, Otha and Sylvia Houser, 1 son, James Lee Schauffler and 2 sisters, Martha Jane and Rosabelle Shearer. Funeral services for Pauline are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2013 at Wright-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Steve Lamberson officiating and Rev. Randy Shaddox assisting. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Michael Bryan, Rodney Bryan, Jason Bryan, Donald Bryan, Marion Schauffler and J.A. Gibson. Dewayne Schauffler will be an Honorary Pallbearer. The family of Pauline Schauffler entrusted her care & services to Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home, 210 S. Broadway, Coweta, OK 74429, 918-486-5515.
