Paula Irene Clayton

Paula Irene Clayton, age 61, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday afternoon, January 1, 2019 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK surrounded by her family. Paula was born on November 21, 1957 in Muskogee, OK to William John and Odessa Mae (White) Pascoe. She was a 1976 graduate of Coweta High School. Paula married the love of her life, Tommy Clayton on March 13, 1997 in Coweta, OK and they had 22 wonderful years together. She worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Coweta for 22 years until she retired in 2016. She was a member of the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy. Paula was a woman of great faith and was loved by many. She enjoyed genealogy, quilting, scrapbooking, crossword puzzles, laying out by the pool and spending time with her grandchildren. Paula is survived by her husband, Tommy Clayton of the home in Coweta, OK; two children, Chris Kilgore and wife, Misty of Coweta, OK and April Furnal and husband, Josh of The Netherlands; two sisters, Ann Davis and husband, Don of Coweta, OK and Pam Smalley and husband, Jack of Norman, OK; one brother, Bill Pascoe of Coweta, OK; two step-children, Jennifer Glover and husband, Greg of Muskogee, OK and Jessica Lee Clayton-Davis of Coweta, OK; five grandchildren, Tatum Day, Tyler Kilgore, Jacob Davis, Kaylee Clayton and Keegan Glover; one great grandson, Ryder Day; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, William John and Odessa Mae Pascoe and a baby brother, William Pascoe. A memorial service celebrating Paula's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta, OK with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating. The family will greet friends from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy.
