Paul Gene Dill

Paul Gene Dill, age 82, resident of Coweta went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK surrounded by his family. Paul was born on February 7, 1935 to David Joseph and Hermy Alma (Keel) Dill in Broken Arrow, OK. He was a 1953 graduate of Coweta High School. Paul married the love of his life, Barbara Jean Morgan on May 26, 1955 in Coweta, OK. He worked at Braden Winch as a Machinist, Crane Carrier Company as an Assistant Vice President and he co-owned and operated Barbara's Gifts and Flowers for many years alongside his wife, Barbara. After retiring, He enjoyed working on the farm taking care of his cattle. Paul was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta where he served on the Building Committee. He was also a member of the Coweta Masonic Lodge 251 and the Good Sam RV Club. Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, traveling and going to Branson. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, David Joseph and Hermy Alma Dill, an infant daughter and one grandson, Dustin Wayne Elliott. Paul is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean Dill of the home in Coweta, OK; three children, Michael David Dill and wife, Robyn of Coweta, OK, Donna Jean Elliott and husband, Kenneth of Coweta, OK and Donny Dill and wife, Jo of Coweta, OK; two sisters, Naomi Masterson of Coweta, OK and Ruby Wilkerson of McLoud, OK; two brothers, Joseph Dill and wife, Anita of Coweta, OK and Edward Dill and wife, Patsy of Coweta, OK; six grandchildren, David Morgan Dill and wife, Jessica, Jessy Ailene Wilhite and husband, Jeremy, Sarah Elizabeth Dill, Samuel Kenneth Elliott, Linzy Jordon Dill and Sydney Hunter Dill; three great grandchildren, Jack Wilhite, Mara Wilhite and Daisy Dill; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12-8 PM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM. Services celebrating Paul's life will be at 2 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Pastor Bob Green and Pastor Wayne Wall officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Bode Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Steve Dill, Greg Dill, John Dill, Kyle Fletcher and Charles Masterson. Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Smith, Don Harris, Carl Sisney, Frank Hollingshed, Rick Downs, Ben Swanson and Vurnell Morgan.
