Patty Ross

Patty Darlene (Melton) Ross, age 50, of Tulsa (formerly of Coweta), a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away Friday afternoon, October 12, 2012 at her home in Tulsa, OK. Patty was born on September 2, 1962 in Tahlequah, OK and was the daughter of Archie Leroy and Bobbie Faye (Teague) Melton. Patty and Charles A. Ross were united in marriage on April 20, 1996 in Eureka Springs, AR. Patty worked as a lead custodian at Broken Arrow Public Schools for 8 years and as a cook at Our Lady of Sorrows Convent for 8 years. Patty enjoyed doing yard work, planting flowers, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Patty is lovingly survived by her husband, Charles A. Ross of the home in Tulsa, OK; her children, Michael Dean Starkey of Tulsa, OK, Lynnette Darlene Starkey of Sperry, OK and Mitchell Lee Starkey of Tulsa, OK; her sister, Jean A. Wilson of Coweta, OK; 10 grandchildren, Christian Starkey, Jebadiah Starkey, Graysen Starkey, Sebastian Starkey, Candy Starkey, Savannah Aube, Alexis Aube, Trevor Harmon, Emily Harmon and Hunter Starkey; one niece and other relatives. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Leroy Melton and Bobbie Faye Melton. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Pastor Allan Swinson and Michael Dean Starkey officiating. Viewing and Visitation will be on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
