Patsy Messick

Patsy J. Messick, age 77, of Coweta passed from this life on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born on June 15, 1932 in Pea Ridge, AR to Todd and Ethel (Frazier) Webb. Patsy received her education in the Pea Ridge, AR school system and graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1949. She and Allen William "Bud" Messick were united in marriage on June 22, 1951 in Tulsa, OK. Patsy owned and operated Reliable Boot & Shoe Rebuilders until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of Whispering Hills Church of Christ. Patsy's hobbies included shopping, cooking, and she loved spending time with her grandkids. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Brian Todd Messick, and five sisters. Patsy is lovingly survived by her husband, Allen "Bud" Messick of the home; two sons, Allen Robert Messick and his wife, Gina, of Coweta, OK and Mark Steven Messick of Coweta, OK; one sister, Pauline Foster of Pea Ridge, AR; four grandchildren, J. T. Messick, Tatum Hay, Sherry Morris, and Laura Messick; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Whispering Hills Church of Christ with Dale Graham officiating and Bill Burton assisting. Interment will follow in Vernon Cemetery.
