Patsie Marie Claxton

Patsie Marie (Orcutt) Claxton, age 81, lifelong Coweta resident went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, December 14, 2022 at her home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Patsie was born on February 24, 1941 in Coweta, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Forest Ivin “Dryden” and Mary Malvina (Heffley) Orcutt.  She attended Coweta Public Schools.  Patsie married Arnold Claxton on June 29, 1984 in Coweta, Oklahoma.  She was a machine operator at Prestolite and Tulsa Rubber Company and worked for Coweta Public Schools as a cafeteria worker and bus assistant.  Patsie enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, watching cooking shows, and working in the yard, but most of all she loved her kids and grandkids.

Patsie is survived by her children, Pam Willhoite of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Karen Walker and Jimmy Osburn of Coweta, Oklahoma, Vickie Herron and husband James of Coweta, Oklahoma, Mary Lee Skaggs and husband Danny of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Janie Smith and husband Bob of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Linda Stickelmeyer of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Karen Mason of Coweta, Oklahoma, Kandi Claxton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Bill Claxton and wife Autumn of Lenorah, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; her sister-in-law, Flo Waldrup; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Patsie was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Claxton, her parents, Forest “Dryden” and Mary Orcutt, her sons, Jimmy Orcutt, Bert Claxton, and Billy Champlain, and son-in-law, Randy Walker.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Patsie’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating.  Patsie will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are her grandson, Jason Champlain, Justin Orcutt, Jeremy Orcutt, Shawn Walker, Shane Skaggs, Brandon Skaggs, and Jacob Mason.  Honorary Pallbearers are Cooter Kilgore, Bobby Mahan, Danny Watkins, Dwight Herd, Kenny Herd, Rick Greene, Ed Greene, Maynard Watkins, and Gene Harrington.
