Orvin L. Pembrook

Orvin Lawrence Pembrook, age 77, of Broken Arrow passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Orvin was born on May 8, 1937 in Seiling, OK and is the son of the late George Albert and the late Suzie May (Boley) Pembrook. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Elresa Wilcox on October 8, 1960 in Fairview, OK. Orvin worked at Tommy's Automatic Vending as a Sales Manager for 20 years. He then owned and operated Pembrook Heating and Air and retired in 2002. Orvin was a member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta. He enjoyed camping, fishing and watching birds. Orvin was preceded in death by his parents George Albert and Suzie May Pembrook, 4 brothers, Walt, Ray, Jack and James Wesley "J.W." and a stillborn sister. Orvin is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elresa Pembrook; 1 son, Albert Pembrook and wife, Tammy, of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 daughter, Tammy Poplin and husband, David, of Coweta, OK; 1 brother, Harley Pembrook of Fairview, OK; 5 grandchildren, Tabatha Doerr and husband Justin, Jeremy Poplin and wife Laura, Trent Pembrook, Hally Pembrook and Maggie Pembrook; 5 great grandchildren, Braden, Chloe, Blayne, Emalyn and Isaac; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held from 9 AM - 8 PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family being present from 6 PM - 8 PM. Services celebrating Orvin's life will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at New Home Free Will Baptist Church, 10442 S. 257th E. Ave., Coweta, OK. Pastor Charlie Levi will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Ron Wilcox, Clint Wilcox, A.J. Wilcox, Brian Pembrook, Kenny Pembrook and Adam Pembrook. Honorary Pallbearers are Gearld Poplin, Harold Poplin, Don Pembrook and Kenneth Pembrook.
