Nora Lee went to church from an infant until the last Sunday before her fall. She gave her life to Jesus at an early age & never left her faith. She lived the standards that her parents taught her all her life. Nora Lee loved to work. She begin her life by helping her daddy as a young girl using a cross cut saw on one end with her sister Geneva while her daddy was on the other end. She picked cotton & took several trips to California to work in the fruit orchards while visiting her grandparents. She quit school in the 8th grade & started working to help her family. She began working for Gertrude Peltz when she was a teenager as her housekeeper. She worked for Mrs. Peltz until 1980. She continued working for Mr. Peltz until his death. Nora Lee continued working in domestic work for Sally Sullivan until around 2011 around the age of 78. She loved keeping her yard by mowing & flower gardening. She also enjoyed spending time on Grand Lake at her cabin that she had inherited from the Peltz. Family was her life. She loved reunions and for family to drop in for a visit. Her greatest joy was to give simple gifts to those she loved. These gifts were often "bargain" finds from a garage sale or a loaf of banana nut bread from her kitchen. She will be greatly missed by her family & friends. Nora Lee never met a stranger & gave compliments out till the day she passed from this life to that Heavenly home.
