Nellie Arnold

Nellie Mae Arnold, age 65, long-time resident of Coweta, a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully Monday evening, June 3, 2013 at her home in Coweta, OK with her family at her bedside. Nellie was born on September 22, 1947 in Turlock, CA and was the daughter of Gary and Bessie (Cunningham) Kilgore. She and Jimmy Lee Arnold were united in marriage on October 10, 1963 in Joplin, MO. Nellie worked at Blue Bell Creameries as an Assembly Line worker for 13 years until she retired in 2010. Nellie was a devoted and faithful member of the Coweta Assembly of God and served in the King's Kitchen Ministry. Nellie enjoyed cooking, participating in Relay for Life and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Nellie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jimmy Arnold of the home; her daughter, Tonya Mills and husband, Rodney, of Coweta, OK; her son, Tim Arnold and wife, Donna, of Tahlequah, OK; her brothers and sisters, Mildred Gilbert of Haskell, OK, Will Kilgore of Coweta, OK, Belle Sisco of Wagoner, OK, Jack Kilgore of Coweta, OK, Gary W. Kilgore of Owasso, OK, Loretta Stevens of Coweta, OK and Dave Kilgore of Coweta, OK; 6 grandchildren, Tandra Moss, Cody Arnold, Brittany Arnold, Maggie Mills, Hanna Arnold and Daylynn Arnold; 2 great grandchildren, Cheyenne Hooks and A.J. Hooks; 3 step-grandchildren, Jesse Fish, Katie Hooks and Jacob Fish; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 6, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Nellie are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Pastor Steve Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Rodney Mills, Cody Arnold, Chris Essary, Sean Wilson, J.B. Arnold and Dillon Kilgore. Honorary Pallbearers are Randall Kilgore, Jacob Fish, Mike Collins, Richard Arnold, Mac Stevens, Mike Arnold, Matt Arnold, Durrel Kilgore, Ray Sisco and Jay Arnold.
