Natasha Marie Byrd, age 18, of Coweta departed this life on early Tuesday morning, October 14, 2008 after a tragic automobile accident that happened in Hulbert, Oklahoma. She was born on December 16, 1989 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Keith R. Byrd and Dee Dee (Fisher) Swarer. Natasha graduated from Coweta High School in 2008 and she was currently attending Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was currently working at Mark's Place Restaurant in Coweta. She had previously worked at Johnny's Welding Shop in Coweta and Chili's Bar and Grill in Tulsa. Natasha was a member at Gumsprings Community Church. Her hobbies included being with her friends, archery, playing softball, and she loved cheerleading. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Survivors include her father, Keith Byrd and his wife, Lisa, of Gore, Oklahoma; her mother, Dee Dee Swarer and her husband, Johnny, of Coweta, Oklahoma; her brother, Jonathan Swarer of Coweta, Oklahoma; her four sisters, Heather Byrd of Coweta, Oklahoma, Hope Swarer of Coweta, Oklahoma, Faith Byrd of Gore, Oklahoma, and Jennifer Swarer of Catoosa, Oklahoma; her maternal grandparents, Vicki and Tony Harp of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and Jack and Velma Swarer of Coweta, Oklahoma; her paternal grandparents, Andy and Pat Childress of Gore, Oklahoma and Ira Roach of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Coweta High School Gymnasium with Pastor Steve Lee and Cleatis Jones officiating. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Stevenson Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta.
