Nancy Jean Fulton

Nancy Jean Fulton, age 79, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma (formerly of Davis, Oklahoma) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Nancy was born on July 19, 1942 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Virgil J. “Bill” and Louise (Posey) Knutson.  She grew up on an oil lease in the Arbuckle Mountains, in the suburbs of Pruitt City.  Nancy was a graduate of Fox High School in Fox, Oklahoma and then attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she received an Associate degree in home economics.  She married the love of her life, Leo B. Fulton on September 8, 1961.  In the mid-1960’s, Nancy was saved at Grace Missionary Church in Texarkana, Texas.  She was a member of Coweta Baptist Church, where she was known for her Italian crème cake.  Nancy was known as “The Pie Lady” in Oklahoma.  She also owned several restaurants over the years.  She was a great mother and grandmother to her family.  Nancy loved shopping and was an outstanding seamstress.  She loved life and dedicated her life to the Lord.  She was a generous person and always giving of her heart and time to others.

Nancy is survived by her son, JC Fulton and his wife Sherry of Coweta, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Samuel Fulton, Byron Fulton, Beaux Fulton, Jeana Kimball and her husband Paul, and Ruby Fulton; two sisters, Brenda Hall and her husband Bill of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Geraldine Hughes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Leo B. Fulton, her parents, Virgil “Bill” and Louise Knutson, her brothers, Clifford Knutson and Shelton Knutson, her sister, Ollie May, and her brother-in-law, Earl Hughes.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Nancy’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Coweta Baptist Church, 28149 E. 131st St. S., Coweta, Oklahoma 74429.  Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, Oklahoma.
