Nadezhda Mikhaylovna Ovsyannikova, age 93, resident of Tulsa was born on December 25, 1926 in Smolensk, Russia and was the daughter of Mikhail Shemenkov and Maria Andreev. She departed this life on Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 93.
Nadezhda was raised in Smolensk, Russia. She was a member of River of Life Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was exceptionally talented in knitting socks and she loved giving them as gifts. She enjoyed studying her Bible and praying for her church. She had a very loving and kind spirit and was a mentor to everyone.
Nadezhda is survived by her three children, Vera Krupenya and husband Mikhail, Liubov Barsukova, and Pavel Ovsyannikov and wife Maria; ten grandchildren, Andrey, Tatyana, Diana, Alexander, Alexsey, Oleg, Mark, Slavik, Maksim, and Kostya; sixteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Nadezhda was preceded in death by her husband, Trofim Ovsyannikov; her parents, Mikhail Shemenkov and Maria Andreev; and one brother, Alexander.
Viewing for Nadezhda will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2020 and 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2020. Services celebrating Nadezhda’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta.
