Myra Jean Downen

Myra Jean Downen, age 81, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, February 26, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Myra was born on September 4, 1940 in Hobart, Oklahoma.  She and Kenneth C. Downen were united in marriage.  Myra was a devoted homemaker for most of her life.  She enjoyed sewing, crafts, bead work, square dancing, and traveling with her husband.

Myra is survived by two children, Cherl Downen of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Steven C. Downen of Haslet, Texas; two grandchildren, James Reza of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Bailey Downen of Alvord, Texas; one brother, Jim Lomenick of Perkins, Oklahoma; very close friends, Jim and Marolyn Cunningham; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Myra was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

A memorial service celebrating Myra’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
