MSGT (Retired) Harry Gies Perryman, 70 of Wagoner, Oklahoma died near his home on September 16, 2017. Harry was the third youngest son of Ethel (Stephens) Perryman and Samuel Winford Perryman, Jr. He was born on the family farm near the Verdigris River between Coweta and Wagoner, Oklahoma on July 30, 1947. He resided in the area working and helping with area churches until joining the United State Air Force on Sept. 1, 1965. His service took him to Ellsworth Air Force Base where he obtained the rank of MSGT in the 44th Missile Maintenance Squadron. Harry served for just over 22 years. His easy smile and quick wit charmed a South Dakota farm girl by the name of Rosella Ann Parks who was waitressing in Sturgis. Their 21 years of marriage produced three children: Gregory Allen, Denise Marie and Darlene Louise who where his pride and joy. During Harry's time in the service, he had one overseas assignment to Belgium. Upon his return he honorably retired from the service and returned to his hometown of Coweta. Harry was active in many churches in the area and enjoyed lending a helping hand to all he met. He enjoyed extended visits to South Dakota to visit his kids and grandkids as well as time with cousin Carl Forester's extended family in Texas. Harry is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dallas Samuel Perryman and Nolan Winford Perryman along with two nephews, Clay Perryman and Mark Combs. He is survived by his three children, Gregory Perryman of Rapid City, SD, Denise Perryman of Isabel, SD and Darlene Perryman of Spearfish, SD along with their mother Rosella Perryman of Rapid City, SD; four grandchildren, Harley Dawn Ismay, Shyanne Marie Weaver, Robert John Weaver and Levi James Berndt; siblings, Malissa Drew Napier of Wagoner, OK; Rhol (Kathy) Alan Perryman of Tulsa, OK; Delores (Bill) Jean Hamilton of Coweta, OK; Brenda Sue Delancey of Coweta, OK and Stephen Edward Perryman; along with several nieces and nephews including Karen Perryman and her special friend Lynn Early who were of great help to him in his last years. A memorial service celebrating Harry's life will be at 10 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church in Coweta, OK.
