Michael Dewayne Walton

Michael Dewayne Walton, age 43, of Coweta passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on December 20, 1970 in Tulsa, OK and was the son of Homer Lee and Cassandra (Cunningham) Walton. Michael worked as a Concrete Finisher for many years. He and Sherri Riley were married in August of 1983 in Tulsa, OK. Michael enjoyed tinkering, music and spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael is survived by his wife, Sherri Walton of the home in Coweta, OK; 3 children, Ashley Hamilton & husband, Chad, of Coweta, OK, Meagan Roat & husband, Kyle, of Coweta, OK and John Walton of Coweta, OK; 1 brother, Homer Lee "Bubbey" Walton, Jr. & wife, Nina, of North Carolina; 1 sister, Deanna Kelley & husband, Mark, of Tulsa, OK; 4 grandchildren, Mahiya Hamilton, Kolby Roat, Bailee Hamilton and Kortlyn Roat; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A wake service is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening, February 19, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Newman Frank, Jr. officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Springtown Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Kyle Roat, Chad Hamilton, John Walton, Mike Bartels, Mark Kelley and Greg Reese.
