Michael Kline Smith

Michael Kline “Mike” Smith, age 66, resident of Broken Arrow departed this life Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2020 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.  Mike was born March 12, 1954 in Broken Arrow, OK and was the son of Sherman Kline “Sonny” and Olva (Jackson) Smith.  He was a 1972 graduate of Broken Arrow High School.  Mike married the love of his life, Karen Jean Walton on July 4, 1974 in Tulsa, OK.  He was a welder for most of his life and did sheet metal work.  Mike enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing, gardening, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Karen Smith of the home in Broken Arrow, OK; his son, Travis Kline Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; his mother, Olva Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; his sister, Kay Kirkland and husband Mike Hood of Broken Arrow, OK; his mother-in-law, Bobbie Avery of Broken Arrow, OK; his dog, Sadie; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Sherman “Sonny” Smith and an infant brother.
