Michael Ray "Mike" Sarty

Michael Ray "Mike" Sarty, age 62, longtime Coweta resident departed this life on Saturday morning, October 26, 2019 at his home in Coweta, OK surrounded by his family. Mike was born on October 22, 1957 in Tulsa, OK and was the son of Ned Dee Sarty, Jr. and Artie Louise (Toney) Sarty. He was a graduate of Coweta High School. Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enlisted in the Army on May 10, 1976 and was honorably discharged on July 2, 1979. Mike married the love of his life, Beverly (Baum) Sarty on March 12, 2001 in Lone Oak, AR. Mike worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Coweta as an automotive parts salesman for many years. Mike is survived by his wife, Beverly Sarty of Coweta, OK; his mother, Louise Sarty of Coweta, OK; two daughters, Kyla Poole of Coweta, OK and Bethany Sarty of Coweta, OK; one brother, Ned Sarty, III and wife Susan of Georgia; two sisters, Pamela Vance and husband Mark of Broken Arrow, OK and Shelly Greene and husband Bill of Bixby, OK; three grandchildren, Kelsey Phillips, Kameron Poole, and Kaylyn Poole; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ned Dee Sarty, Jr. The family will be hosting a memorial service for Mike on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at The Broadmore, 102 N. Broadway, Coweta, OK from 3:00-6:00 p.m. A light lunch will be served and the family hopes to see you and to be able to share memories of his joyful life.
