Michael Lewis Duggins

June 9, 1950 — January 21, 2025

Coweta

Michael Lewis Duggins, age 74, resident of Coweta, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 21, 2025, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Mike set off on his exciting life June 9, 1950, as the first-born child to Enoch Lewis Duggins and Flossie Ruth Duggins in Tulsa, OK.

Before Mike reached school age his father decided to become a pipeliner which would require the family to travel, both foreign and domestic. This life required him to take his family wherever the job required which provided an incredibly unique opportunity and exciting adventure for his family.

Mike embraced the occasion and became an expert at meeting people. In all his travels he never met a stranger. He would speak with anyone and even when he did not speak your native language, he found a way to communicate with you.

If you needed cheering up, he would share one of his many stories. If you needed help you just had to ask, and you would receive his boundless charity. As a child, be prepared to laugh and have fun.

Mike’s choice of vocation was the pipeline industry. He was comfortable with working as a laborer, operating tractors, moving heavy equipment and inspection on the pipeline.

Mike had a passion for cars, trucks, motorcycles, and boats and was happiest when rebuilding or modifying them. He never had a vehicle that he did not change. His mechanical ability and creativity had no limits. He was frequently swapping, trading, or selling vehicles and parts.

Professional wrestling could not have had a bigger fan. He seldom missed any wrestling on TV. He could name all the wrestlers by name.

He started his family with Johnnie Lee Kelley on June 16, 1990, in Broken Arrow, OK. They brought a fine son into the world to become his legacy. They built a life in Coweta, OK. Mike leaves behind his loving wife, Johnnie, and his amazing son, Michael, as his heritage. He is also survived by his brother, Pat Duggins and wife DeAnn of Broken Arrow, OK, his nephews, Patrick Duggins and wife Amber of Owasso, OK, and Todd Miller and wife Toya of Montgomery, TX, and numerous other relatives. Mike’s many friends and family will miss him. He will always be remembered.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Enoch Lewis Duggins and his mother, Flossie Ruth (Hoffman) Duggins.

Most people have only dreamed of a life as full as Mike lived, but he experienced it.
