Melissa Anne Laverdure

Melissa Anne Laverdure, age 43, Broken Arrow resident departed this life Friday afternoon, November 1, 2019 at her home in Broken Arrow, OK. Melissa was born April 14, 1976 in Tulsa, OK and was the daughter of Roger Thomas and Eva Collen (Thomas) Laverdure. She attended Coweta Public Schools. She worked as a shift manager at Wendy's in Broken Arrow, the Broken Arrow Daily Ledger, and Whataburger. She enjoyed crocheting, music, watching wrestling, and was an avid OU football fan. She loved spending time outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. Melissa is survived by her father, Roger Laverdure; three daughters, Kashmier Dougherty and companion Dave Fields, Jessica Anderson and husband Daniel, and Alissa Sander and husband Nicholas; five grandchildren, Zola Dougherty, Grayson Fields, Danielle Anderson, Jade Anderson, and Andre Sander; one brother, Jesse Laverdure; one nephew, Vincent Laverdure; one great niece, Lillie Laverdure; and other relatives and friends. Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Collen (Thomas) Laverdure; her grandparents, Jessie James Thomas and Corean Thomas. Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the service celebrating Melissa's life at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
