Melinda Pierce

Melinda Kay Pierce, age 41, of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma departed this life on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. Melinda was born on January 23, 1967 in Bakersfield, California to Bill and Deborah (Bruce) James. She received her education in the Coweta school system. Melinda and Jimmy Pierce were united in marriage on December 31, 1985 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Melinda was a homemaker for most of her life. Her hobbies included fishing and gardening. Left behind to cherish her memories is her husband of 22 years, Jimmy of the home; three sons, Matthew Pierce and his wife, Felisha, of Ft. Gibson, Joshua Pierce and his wife, Malibu, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Johnothan Pierce and his wife, Cassandra, of Coweta, Oklahoma; her parents, Bill and Deborah James of Wagoner, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Destinne Pierce, Rylee Kay Pierce, and Jacob Pierce. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta.
