Melinda A. Neal, age 70, of Coweta passed away on Monday afternoon, July 19, 2010 at her home. She was born on April 6, 1940 in Dearborn, MI to Ray B. and Jerry C. (Mahaney) Barranger. In 1958, Melinda graduated from high school in Dearborn, MI. She and James A. Neal were married on April 14, 1969 in Pensacola, FL. In 1980, they moved from Florida to Coweta, Oklahoma where they have made their home for the past 30 years. Melinda was a homemaker for most of her life. Her hobbies included woodworking, crocheting, and needlework. Melinda is survived by her husband, James; three brothers, Bill Barranger of Plymouth, MI, George Mahaney of Port Huron, MI, and John Mahaney of Port Huron, MI; one sister, Lilly Goodwin of Ft. Gresham, MI; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Melinda was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
