Maxine Houser

Maxine Houser, age 83, longtime resident of Coweta passed from this life on Friday, April 24, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. She was born on June 22, 1925 in Coweta, OK to Felix Boyd and Amy Lee (Bryan) Fisher. Maxine was a loving and caring, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother to her family. She attended school in Coweta and graduated from Coweta High School in 1945. Maxine and Fred Houser were united in marriage on February 26, 1946 in Coweta, OK. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Maxine enjoyed fishing, horses, and cattle. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one daughter, and one brother. Maxine is lovingly survived by her husband, Fred of the home; one daughter-in-law, Lorraine Houser of Coweta; two brothers, Donald L. Fisher of Plainville, KS and Steven Lane Fisher of Coweta; two sisters, Verda Walker of Coweta and Lola Jane Simpson of Tulsa; one grandchild, Ernest Houser; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
