Maudie Lee Morgan, age 90, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, February 10, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Maudie was born on July 24, 1931 in Cherokee County, Oklahoma and was the daughter of James Eugene and Bessie Lee (Jordan) O’Dell.  Maudie attended Tahlequah schools where she was a 1949 graduate of Bagley High School.  Maudie married the love of her life, Arvil C. Morgan on December 24, 1949 at Crescent Valley Baptist Church in Cherokee County, Oklahoma.  She was a Cashier in the Business Office at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 17 years until she retired in 1994.  Maudie was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma.  She enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening, camping, and spending time with her family.

Maudie is survived by her four children, Shirley Morgan-Glenn and her husband Larry of Porter, Oklahoma, Connie Saunders of Coweta, Oklahoma, Arvil Morgan and his wife Pam of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Karen Morgan-Martin and her husband Freddie of Woodward, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Lori Glenn-Cooper and her husband Robert of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Amy Glenn-Tillotson and her husband David of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Jason Dobbins and his wife Valarie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Amanda Goodnight and her husband Steve of  Wagoner, Oklahoma, Travis Dale Dobbins of Coweta, Oklahoma, Erin Simon and her husband Matt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Kellie Rogers and her husband Jason of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Brian Morgan of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jessica Swinford and her husband Matt of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Jay Martin and his companion Colbey of Mooreland, Oklahoma; twenty-four great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Maudie was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil C. Morgan; her parents, James and Bessie O’Dell; and an infant brother, Bobby Gene.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma with family present from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.  Services celebrating Maudie’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with David Tillotson officiating and Dr. Vern Charette assisting.  Maudie will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Brian Morgan, Jason Dobbins, Jay Martin, Travis Dobbins, Matt Swinford, and Jason Rogers.  Honorary Pallbearers are Frank Hughes, Kris Saunders, Richard Gates, and Bodie Wilson.
