Mary Ruth Parker

February 7, 2012 Mary Ruth Parker, 87, passed away at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 30, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 17, 1925 in Beggs, Oklahoma to Perry Burnace and Birdie Eileen (Winkle) Godsey. Mary was the manager of the Jubilee Liquor Store for many years. She will be remembered for her bright personality, and even brighter jewelry. She never left home without wearing her jewelry. Mary loved knitting, crocheting and playing bingo. She was preceded in detah by her husband, William David Parker; parents, Perry and Birdie Godsey; brothers, Jerry Godsey and Bill Godsey; sister, Louise Powell; and great grandson, Caleb Childress. Mary is survived by her children, Robert Ward, Delores "DeDe" Adair and Patty Walker; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Reba Boerstler; and brother, Ronnie Godsey. Visitation will be from 5-7 on Thursday, February 2 and a funeral service will be held at 2PM Friday, February 3, both at Kennedy-Kennard Chapel in Broken Arrow with Pastor James Lacey officiating.
