Mary "Lou" Fulps, long-time resident of Broken Arrow, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, February 25, 2011 at Broken Arrow Nursing Home at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 14 days. Lou was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Lou was born on May 11, 1927 in Shamrock, OK to the late Ed and Edna (Sewell) Decker. She was raised in Coweta the early years of her life. In 1944, Lou graduated from Skiatook High School. She was a manager at Goldie's Patio Grill for 17 years until she retired in 1992. After retiring from Goldie's, Lou decided to work in the school cafeteria at the Broken Arrow School System for 5 years finally retiring in 1997. Lou had a very loving heart and she loved talking to people. She enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home and she loved spending time with her family. Lou will be dearly missed. Lou is lovingly survived by her daughter, Zandra Dianne Nicholson and her husband, Benny Jean, of Broken Arrow, OK; her son, William Harvey Crouse of Owasso, OK; two sisters, Katherine Greenfield of Sherman, AR and Dorothy Galbicka of Lakeland, FL; one brother, James Paul Decker of Stilwell, OK; three grandchildren, David Shawn Nicholson and his wife, Lori, of Crawfordville, FL, Chad Wayne Nicholson of Wagoner, OK and Kenna Lea Morrison and her husband, Justin, of Gillette, WY; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Lou was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. A graveside service for Lou will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta with Chaplain Bob Zigmont officiating. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, February 27, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Family and friends may send condolences to the family online at www.wrightfh.net.
