Mary June Cantrell

Mary June Cantrell, age 86, resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Brookdale Senior Living in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Mary was born on August 28, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Daniel Johnson and Gunhild (Kvalva) Johnson. She married the love of her life, Joe Cantrell in 1984 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mary was a Supervisor of the Check Processing Department for the Bank of Oklahoma. She was of the Baptist faith. Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going to garage sales, and gardening.

Mary is survived by her four children, Gloria Morrison of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Sherry Crain of Coweta, Oklahoma, Robert Cantrell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Russell Cantrell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous other extended family and friends to mourn her passing.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cantrell; her parents, Daniel and Gunhild Johnson; her son, Daniel Scott; and her sister, Karen Scott.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Graveside services celebrating Mary’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Pastor Rod Harris officiating.
