Martha Ann Lagers

Martha Ann Lagers, age 76, resident of Coweta departed this life on Saturday afternoon, August 3, 2019 at Brookdale Cedar Ridge in Broken Arrow, OK. Martha was born on June 2, 1943 in Sherman, TX and was the daughter of Arthur and Lillian Elvis (Hodge) Hannan. She was a graduate of Colbert High School in Colbert, OK. Martha married the love of her life, Edward Lee Lagers on March 7, 1964 in Sherman, TX. She was a devoted homemaker for most of her life, who enjoyed caring for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Martha was very creative and enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts, painting, ceramics, gardening, and she was an avid reader. She was a beloved Boy Scout Den Mother. She had a very loving heart and was loved by everyone that knew her. Martha is survived by two sons, Darrin S. Lagers and wife Shannon of Tulsa, OK and Brad E. Lagers and wife Amy of Sand Springs, OK; one daughter, Toni Gilliland and husband Charles "Bud" of Coweta, OK; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Kayla, Michael, Ryan, Curt, Jessica, Emily, Blake, and Keagan; four great grandchildren, Keyren, Kaysen, Kinley, and Kennedy; one stepbrother, Robert Thornton of Idabel, OK; one stepsister, Ann Shaw of Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Lagers on May 20, 2019; her parents, Arthur and Lillian Hannan; her stepfather, James "Grandpa Bud" Thornton; one brother, Bobby Joe Hannan; and one stepbrother, Alan Thornton. Viewing will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Martha's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Blake Lagers, Ryan Day, Curt Masters, Ed Hodge, Kenny Blair, and Frank Rainbolt.
