Marlo Allen Barnes

October 7, 1981 — August 22, 2016

On October 7th, 1981, Shirl and Curtis Barnes were blessed with a handsome baby boy.  They named him Marlo Allen. Marlo attended Little Rock High School in Little Rock, California. He returned to Tulsa and met Mesgana Tesfalidet.  The two were united in matrimony in Kansas City, Missouri in January 2005.  To this union, Marlo Caleb was born. Marlo opened his own business in Tulsa, OK, ‘Done Right Janitorial.'  He was also an excellent mechanic and worked often along with his Dad in the family owned business. After his marital separation, he returned to California. Marlo was a loving family man who enjoyed cooking for his family and entertaining family and friends with his soulful rhymes and amazing beats.  He could also play a mean game of spades and would challenge the best on the monopoly board. Marlo met and married Nadine Bolten in May 2012.   To this union two beautiful daughters were born.  He professed his faith in Christ as a young adult and attended church in Rosewood, California. Marlo was definitely a caring son, father, brother, and friend to many.  He cherished and adored his children.  He enjoyed life and he brought immeasurable joy into the lives of his family and many friends. Marlo was preceded in death by his grandparents, Columbus and Edna Barnes and a host of aunts and uncles. Marlo leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Nadine of California City, California, eight children, Hailey, Marlo Caleb, Javion, Manuel, Ebony, Alana, Mariah and Marley, his devoted parents, Shirl Barnes of Haskell, OK and Curtis Barnes of Tulsa, OK, loving grandmother, Espanola Love of Haskell, OK, five sisters, Tialesha Barnes (Antonio) of Coweta, OK, Shina Barnes of Arlington, TX, Crystal Barnes, Crystal Barnes, Taylor Barnes, and MacKinzie Barnes of Tulsa, OK; five brothers, Curtis Barnes of Tulsa, OK, Brandon (Heather) Barnes of Tulsa, OK, Tamarjaron Barnes, Cordell Barnes, and Tyler Barnes of Tulsa, OK, a dear friend, Sylvia Tharps, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends.
