Mark Hooper

Mark David Hooper, age 35, of Coweta, formerly of Tulsa, passed from this life on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at his residence. He was born on December 5, 1972 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to George and Judy Kay (Garoutte) Hooper. Mark graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1990. He then attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma for 1 year and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma for 1 year. Mark enlisted in the United States Army on June 10, 1991 and was honorably discharged on August 3, 1994. He worked as a craftsman. Mark's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and flint knapping. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather. He is survived by his parents, George and Judy Hooper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sister, Lisa Diane Gore of Plano, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Marie Garoutte of Coweta, Oklahoma; 1 uncle, Gary Garoutte of Coweta, Oklahoma; 2 nephews; and other relatives. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta with Rev. David Jones officiating.
