Mario Orlando Alexander

December 22, 1987 — October 31, 2020

Mario Orlando Alexander was born to Albert Alexander and Henrietta Steele. Mario Orlando Alexander (named by his Big Mama) was a miracle child who came to life despite tied tubes. Needless to say, he wanted to be here. Always full of energy even with his sleepy eyes. When he would look at you, he would reel you in with his beautiful eyes. Mario was bold! He enjoyed horsing around, making people laugh, rhyming, music, fishing, kicking it with loved ones and playing football for Coweta Tigers most of his childhood years. He was a 2007 graduate of Coweta High School. Although life threw him many curve balls and came with many challenges including battling ADHD since the age of 5, Mario still dreamed of an easy life of abundance, fun times, and love. Perhaps in God’s own way, that prayer has finally been answered.

Mario was a fun-loving, charismatic, and down-to-earth soul from birth to death. He loved family so much, he didn’t meet a friend that didn’t become family like his best best cousin and childhood friend Stetmon Manns and many others. He was a great father to all his children, would always put them first, and tried to be with them as much as he could. The evening he passed away he was able to spend time with all his children.

He loved his family and was preceded in death by his dad, Bonnie Alexander, favorite uncle Ruff Alexander, and favorite aunt Gerlene Steele-Byrd.

Mario leaves behind his beloved mother, Henrietta Steele-Fuller, his eight children: Larry, DaMarion, Bralin, Darian, Arionna, Aleah, Lilly, and Lauren, his siblings: Preston, Tina, Nessa, Bryan, Cewanee, Sadid, and Samantha along with a tribe of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

“Gone Fishing”

Gone are the days of sleepless nights

No more remittances to tug at your pockets

We might find ourselves feeling jealous

Life hasn’t ended, this is only your transition

You stepped out of time and into eternity,

This is just the beginning

Anyone who knew you, might well say:

He’s Just Gone Fishing
