Marie Crittenden

Marie (Miller) Crittenden, age 87, of Coweta passed from this life on Saturday evening, July 25, 2009 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 13, 1922 in Coweta, OK to Lewis and Martha (Redding) Miller. Marie received her education in the Coweta school system. She and Roy Crittenden were united in marriage in September 1965 in Miami, OK. Marie worked in the Sheet Metal Dept. for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft for 20 years until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the Bemo Baptist Church. Her hobbies included fishing, reading, picking wild onions, and going to the casino. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Phillip Farthing, five brothers, and one sister. Marie is lovingly survived by her husband, Roy of Stigler, OK; one son, Lewis Haynes of Jenks, OK; one daughter, Helen Duncan of Coweta, OK; one grandson, David Farthing; two great grandchildren, Summer Farthing and Spenser Farthing; one sister-in-law, Lucille Miller; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. There will be a wake service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the Broken Arrow United Indian Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Vernon Cemetery with Rev. Don Jones officiating. Interment will follow.
