Margaret Carol Walkup

Margaret Carol Walkup, age 53, resident of Coweta departed this life on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at her home in Coweta, OK. She was born on July 17, 1965 in Tulsa, OK and was the daughter of William "Bill" Henry Thompson, III and Carol Ann Thompson Little. Margaret attended school in Ohio. She married the love of her life, Charles Wayne Walkup on August 19, 1996 in Eureka Springs, AR and together they have one daughter, Kayla. Margaret worked as an Optician in the Tulsa area for many years. She also had a home daycare for four years after Kayla was born. Margaret had her pilot's license and served in the Civil Air Patrol in Ohio. She enjoyed cooking, spending time at Fort Gibson Lake on her houseboat and she loved her Corgi, Holly. She spent much time in the kitchen and never met a kitchen appliance she didn't like, especially if it bore the name "Ninja". Margaret is survived by her husband, Charles Wayne Walkup of Coweta, OK; her daughter, Kayla Marie Walkup, of Coweta, OK; her mother and step-father, Carol Ann Thompson Little and Allen R. Little of Newark, OH; her step-daughter, Kendra Randall of Bakersville, CA; two sisters, Jill Deel of Columbus, OH and Dina Elizabeth Eaton and husband, David of Whitehall, OH; one sister-in-law, Linda Walkup of Sapulpa, OK; one brother-in-law, Dale Walkup of Blue Springs, MO; one aunt, Mona Geeting of Ohio; two nieces; one nephew; other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Henry Thompson, III; and one brother William "Billy" Henry Thompson. Viewing will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Margaret's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
