Margaret Elaine Teakell

Margaret Elaine Ceta Teakell, age 63, of Broken Arrow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, January 23, 2011 at her residence in Broken Arrow, OK. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and sister. Margaret was born on October 17, 1947 in Dalhart, Texas to N.D. "Dan" and Mary (Elder) Smith. She graduated from Sayre High School in 1966. Margaret and Russell Teakell were married on December 22, 1967 in Sayre, OK. She was a member at the Church of Christ at Whispering Hills in Broken Arrow. Margaret volunteered with Tulsans for Life and she worked for over 30 years as a teacher in World Bible School. She also volunteered at Belvidere Mansion in Claremore, OK. Margaret enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and she loved caring for people. Margaret is lovingly survived by her husband of 43 years, Russell of the home; three sons, Kevin Teakell and his wife, Andrea, of Broken Arrow, OK, Grant Teakell and his wife, Lyuba, of Tulsa, OK and Collin Teakell of Broken Arrow, OK; one daughter, Shannan Teakell of Broken Arrow, OK; one sister, Carol Robison of Cedar Hill, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, N.D. "Dan" and Mary (Elder) Smith, one brother, Ed Smith and three sisters, Suzy Walker, Wilma Batdorf and Jo Johnson. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Church of Christ at Whispering Hills in Broken Arrow, OK with Dale Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, OK. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, January 25, 2011 from 6 - 8 p.m. Family and friends may send condolences to the family online at www.wrightfh.net. The family of Margaret Teakell entrusted her care and services to Wright Funeral Home, 210 S. Broadway, Coweta, OK 74429, (918) 486-5515. Pallbearers are Mark Stelljes, Ron Risner, David Fowler, Charles VanGilder, Ed Rentie and Todd Geiger.
