Marcelene "Marcy" Faye Buchanan

Marcelene Faye Buchanan, also known as “Marcy”, resident of Muskogee (formerly of Broken Arrow) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 72.  Marcy was born on March 24, 1949 in Culver City, California to Charles Clarence and Wanda Lee (Bulter) Moore.  She grew up in the country, east of Broken Arrow, a mile from Sunnyside Baptist Church.  She attended school in her younger years at Sunnyside before attending Broken Arrow Public Schools where she graduated from high school in 1967.  Marcy worked as a cook at Domestic Violence Intervention Services for 20 years until she became disabled.  She was a charter member of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Broken Arrow and was baptized in the pond behind Sunnyside.  She loved volunteering at the church and helping with Vacation Bible School.  Marcy enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Marcy is survived by three daughters, Roni Boulanger of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Brandy Henderson of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and LaDonna Voyles of Coweta, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Steven Boulanger, Jared Boulanger, Kristen Harrison, Kaycee Harrison, Wesley Henderson, Hank Voyles, and Cody Voyles; seven great grandchildren, Kyler, Faith, Jayse, Ashton, Finlee, Tate, and River; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Clarence and Wanda Lee Moore and two brothers, Clarence Moore and Michael Moore.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Marcy’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Brother Ron Curtis officiating.  Marcy will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Wesley Henderson, Zach Deringer, Gary Sweetin, Chad Henderson, Hank Voyles, and Cody Voyles.  Honorary Pallbearers are Steven Boulanger, Kyler James, and Jayse Dean.
