Lyudmila Borisovna Mukhina

With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Lyudmila Borisovna Mukhina, who left this world after a long and beautiful life filled with love, resilience, and devotion to her family.

Lyudmila was born on April 28, 1927, in Tomsk, Russia, to Nina Vasilievna Verhozina and Boris Alexandrovich Mukhin. She grew up in a time of great change, yet she carried within her an unshakable strength and warmth that defined her life.

A talented architect, Lyudmila dedicated many years to shaping the landscapes of Russia with her skill and vision. One of 3 female graduates of the University, she dominated in the field of architecture and structural engineering and was involved in many classified projects. Yet, despite her professional accomplishments, her greatest joy and purpose laid in her family. She made the selfless decision to leave her career at her prime to raise and care for her grandchildren, ensuring they were always surrounded by love, wisdom, and the traditions that made their family strong. She taught everyone the importance of family and greatly affected and inspired the lives of countless others. She was the heart of her home, a matriarch whose kindness, patience, and unwavering support created a foundation for generations to come.

In the early 2000s, Lyudmila moved to the United States, where she continued to embrace life with grace and curiosity. She found happiness in the simple joys—gardening, reading, and spending time with her loved ones. Her hands, once busy drafting architectural plans, became just as skilled in the kitchen, where she created incredible meals that brought the family together. Her green thumb turned every garden she touched into a flourishing haven, a reflection of the care and dedication she poured into everything she did.

Above all, Lyudmila was the embodiment of unconditional love. She was the best mother, grandmother, and role model, leaving behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and an unbreakable family bond.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Olga Yar; her grandson, Alex Yar and his wife Michelle, granddaughter Lidia Yar; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Aidan Lawson, Isabella Lawson, Elias Lawson, and Xander Yar. She poured endless love into each of them, and they will carry her warmth and wisdom forward in their own lives.

A private service will be held in her honor.

Родилась Людмила в Томске 28 апреля 1927 года в семье Нины Васильевны Верхозиной и Бориса Александровича Мухина. Выросшая в непростое время перемен, она сохранила внутреннюю силу и душевную теплоту, ставшие основой ее характера.

Талантливый архитектор, Людмила Борисовна посвятила годы своей профессии, формируя архитектурный облик России. Однако подлинное призвание она нашла в семье. Оставив карьеру, она полностью посвятила себя воспитанию внуков, окружая их заботой, мудростью и семейными традициями. Она стала истинной хранительницей домашнего очага, чья доброта и терпение создали прочный фундамент для нескольких поколений.

В начале 2000-х годов Людмила переехала в Соединенные Штаты, где продолжала встречать каждый день с неизменным оптимизмом и интересом. Ее радовали простые вещи — цветник, книги, время с близкими. Руки, некогда чертившие архитектурные проекты, теперь искусно готовили семейные обеды и ухаживали за огородом. Каждый посаженный ею цветок и каждый выращенный куст — живое свидетельство ее заботы и трудолюбия.

Людмила Борисовна была воплощением безграничной любви. Она была несравненной матерью, бабушкой и наставником, оставившим после себя наследие доброты, мудрости и крепких семейных уз.

Людмила оставила после себя любимую дочь Ольгу Яр, внуков Алекса Яра с женой Мишель и Лидию Яр, а также правнуков Айдана Лоусона, Изабеллу Лоусон, Элиаса Лоусона и Александра Яра. Каждому из них она отдала частичку своей души, и её свет будет жить в их сердцах. Каждого она окружила безмерной любовью, и каждый унаследует ее тепло и мудрость.

Прощание пройдет в узком семейном кругу.
