Louise Gregory

Artie Louise Gregory of Coweta, age 82, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday afternoon, July 12, 2012 at Broken Arrow Nursing Home in Broken Arrow, OK. Louise was born on June 14, 1930 in Rogers, AR and was the daughter of Jeff and Anna (Jackson) Townsend. Louise attended school and received her education in Berryhill, OK. On December 7, 1946, Louise and John Carl Gregory were united in marriage in Huntsville, AR and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1998. Louise was a homemaker for most of her life. Louise enjoyed crocheting, crafts, watching western movies, listening to bluegrass music, taking care of her home and yard and she loved spending time with her family. Louise is survived by her son, Mike Gregory and wife, Frankie, of Coweta; one sister, Wanda Kirkwood and husband, Bob, of Bakers City, OR; five grandchildren, Carl Lawson, Lisa Rogers, Bert Lawson III, Matt Gregory and Cannon Gregory; 13 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way; one great-great grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gregory, her parents, Jeff and Anna Townsend, one daughter, Carlotta Gregory, two sisters, Vinna Townsend and Pat Dalton, two brothers, Leon Townsend and Edgar Townsend, one granddaughter, Lee Ann Lawson and one daughter-in-law, Debbie Gregory. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, July 15, 2012 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Funeral services for Louise are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, July 16, 2012 at Wright-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta with Rev. Bill Clinton officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Carl Lawson, Bert Lawson III, Matt Gregory, Cannon Gregory, Wayne Gregory and Travis Rhodes.
