Louise Marie Greene, age 89, resident of Coweta, OK, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Sunday morning, February 25, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. She was born on December 15, 1934, in Barber, AR to Eddie Lee and Pearl Louisa (Smith) Mitchell. Louise's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for her family and God.
Louise attended school in Mansfield, AR. On April 30, 1965, she married the love of her life, Jack Greene, in Fort Smith, AR. The couple settled in Tulsa before moving to the Wagoner/Coweta area in 1968.
A devoted homemaker, Louise took immense pleasure in caring for her family. Her home was a hub of warmth and love, where she skillfully balanced the roles of mother, seamstress, gardener, and canner. Her hands were rarely still, as she was always engaged in studying the Bible, and nurturing her garden.
Louise's generosity knew no bounds. She was a giving person who extended her kindness not only to her family but also to those around her through her missionary work. Her involvement with the Oral Roberts Evangelist Association and her membership at the Coweta Assembly in Coweta, OK, were reflections of her deep-rooted faith and desire to serve others.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Karen Johnson of Great Bend, KS, Mary Baucom and husband Frank of Porter, OK, Cindy Cole and husband Ronnie of Coweta, OK, and Jackie Boes and husband Mark of Dallas, TX. Louise's legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren, Darrell Pearson, Christopher Pearson, Melissa Gray, Bradley Greene, Kirsten Guinn, Russell Greene, Joseph Baucom, Dala Hedge, Brandon Cole, Lauren Harris, and Camden Harris, as well as her 25 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will cherish her memory.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Jack Greene, in 2008, her son, David Greene, her parents, Eddie Lee and Pearl Louisa Mitchell, and her brothers, Recie, Robert, Harold, Ed, J.D., Bill, and Hathern Mitchell.
Louise's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with faith, love, and selfless service. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
